Leica MP shutter dial grinding below 1/30s

I noticed that my shutter speed dial makes a grinding sounds on shutter speeds below 1/30s.
Everything above sounds and feels completely smooth and normal.
I only have one M-body and nothing else to compare it to. Is this normal for Leica M bodies?
