Leica Model IIIC Chrome Camera Body Postwar with self timer

I verified by the serial number that this is a IIIC.
The self timer was added from the factory.

Very good useable condition. Good curtain. Shutter fires on high and low speeds. Not verified for accuracy.
I cannot get the self timer to work. I must be doing something wrong.

Looks nice!

$285

Ships for $15 to US address.

thanks

Nice camera, but just so you know, it appears to be a IIIF BD factory conversion. GLWS.

That appears to be the somewhat rare sharkskin-pattern vulcanite, in the vertical orientation (some, like mine, are horizontal). Agreed that it does appear to have been converted to the later IIIF standard.

If you cock the shutter and then press the little button next to the self-timer, does it start to buzz and rotate back to its upright position?

I cannot get the self timer to work. Tried going by the book. Silent and still!
It does have the shark skin vulcanite and it looks good.
The serial number says that it is a "C" model.
Hope this helps.
