Well, after reading about so many of the Leica Minilux E02 errors, it finally happened to me. And I had just decided to sell it!

I've read a lot of posts--mostly from 2+ years ago--recommending a place in Portugal and a place in Ukraine. However, I don't feel real comfortable shipping a camera overseas right now.

Anyone know of any place in N.America that might be able to repair it?

ETA: I suppose, if I want to try it myself, this is supposed to do the trick: https://www.ebay.com/itm/275387000132

Give Zacks Camera Repair (site sponsor) a call. Ask him if he will do it if you supply that ribbon cable off ebay.

Thanks for the suggestion. Tried it, but Michael said that he doesn't work on the Leica Minilux (but was very fast to respond!).

I think I found someone out in Oregon who will do it.

Well... camera came back this past weekend. It's working again! Or at least appears to be... haven't put a roll of film through it yet. Sent it out to Jadon at Red Dot Repair. However, he indicated that he's in the process of closing out to the public, and my Minilux may have been one of the last ones he's going to work on. Looks like I got in right at the wire.

I'll post some photos once I've had a chance.

Thread necro time - I just got my (Dad's old) Minilux out and put a battery in it, decided to try it out and shoot a bit. I haven't even loaded it yet, just tested the shutter an functions. The next time I went to turn it on, the lens cover jammed with a E01 error, which seems to be closely related to the E02. From what I read, it's the one ribbon cable connector that wears out and causes both problems.

I'm not averse to popping it open and trying to fix it myself, but what's the part I need to look for?
