Leica M7 transport crank hangs

Hi,

The film transport crank of by leica M7 hangs. When I move to the next frame the crank stays at the end position and does not automatically jump back to the begin position. I can manually pull it back. Everything works fine...

Does anybody had this problem and knows how to solve it??

The return of the wind lever is controlled by a spring. Apparently this spring has broken or one end of it has detached.

At the risk of stating the obvious, I suggest you send or take it to a specialist Leica camera repairer.

Nothing about owning a Leica is cheap, especially when they fail.

Possibly, but there is nothing like them in use. Absolutely glorious.

The spring had to be replaced. Including a cla it was 285 euro.

Was that done by Leica or an independent shop?
285 Euro is actually not bad for the repair and CLA... (for Leicas)
