For Sale Leica M4 - Project

For sale is a Leica M4 which is going to need some work. The camera body is in fair condition, there's some paint chips on the back, a few chips in the vulcanite and some marks in the finish on the top and bottom as well as some small nicks on the bottom edges. There's a slight dent on the left side of the viewfinder but this does not affect the glass.

The 35mm bright line is slightly dim on about 1/4 of the left hand vertical. There's also a couple of tiny darker spots in the rangefinder center spot. The shutter will likely need replacing, it looks pretty rough and the speeds are off. The right strap lug was repaired by someone, not sure how they did that but it looks like epoxy might have been involved. The film advance is somewhat course and sort of clicks at the end of the stroke, I'm not sure if this is a common trait with the M4's.

So basically it's a camera that's going to need a thorough working over to get up to shooting standards.
