This listing is for a Leica M4 camera body in mint condition, serial number 1208907, indicating a production date of 1968/69. I can find no signs of use on this camera.

Comes with what I believe is the original body cap (mint), along with box (unserialized) and instruction manual, both of which show signs of handling (see photo). I purchased this camera as what I thought would be a really nice user, only to discover it is in very rare mint condition and I'm afraid I'd bugger it up. If you're thinking about getting a new M-A, consider this at a fraction of the price.

I do not know the camera's service history. There is a "K" at the lens mount seal, which may indicate it was last serviced by Sherry Krauter (Golden Touch).

Camera is fully functional and ready to use, or simply to keep as a collectable. The best I can tell, everything works correctly, specifically:

* Viewfinder is crystal clear and bright, no haze or yellowing.
* Framelines appear correctly.
* Rangefinder patch is strong, contrasty and well-aligned.
* Shutter speeds sound accurate across the full range, especially at slow speeds.
* Self-timer works correctly.
* Shutter curtains are pristine.
* Smooth film advance and rewind operation.
* Bottom plate fits perfectly.

Asking $2295. Price includes UPS ground shipping within CONUS. Add 3% for PayPal G&S.

PM me with any questions you have and thanks for your interest.

The "K" may indicate it was serviced by Kanto. I seem to remember Sherry's "K" is very peculiar looking, so a close up photo can help there.

Nice one. Fabulous loading system that people can't believe until used properly. Best looking M.
