Leica m3 film pressure plate tilt

Does anyone know if a tilted film pressure plate is an issue from the original assembly or caused by something else? I found this problem on one of my cameras that is in almost like-new condition, and I'm wondering if it's possible to adjust it.

Seeing it square-on would be helpful but it looks both tilted and twisted, but that could just be perspective. Either way if it isn't affecting the photographs leave it alone.

Caused by something else, they are squared up out of the factory. What year M3 is it? If it were mine I wouldn't attempt to adjust it and would send it out only if it were interfering with functionality.

It likely got snagged by someone's finger, which twisted it a bit, but goes into proper position once the back is closed. I agree you shouldn't try to twist it back - last thing you want is for it to fall off.
