Leica m3 DS winder on keeps winding moving the lever after 2 strokes.

Hi,
I purchased an m3 that has no stop in the winder. Is this normal?
The winder on dual stroke keeps “winding” moving the lever after 2 strokes.
The left one is working one. The right one is the one which the lever keeps moving.
The film is not winding. Just the lever.

One of the famous repair men says the DS is worn out and needs to be converted to SS

When I do the normal Dual stroke yes. but the third times and after it keeps going all the way to the end without winding the film. But it is very annoying because I forget if I winded and when I wind it skips over

It's hard to imagine any gears " being warn out" sounds like a Pawl is not engaging, maybe a damaged spring, which wouldn't be hard to fix if you have the ability and tools.
If it is how you purchased, I'd return it, someone could of damaged it by forcing the wind on lever or maybe had an incompetent person working on it.
