I have a dual stroke M3 ca 1958 that is not winding as far as desirable between frames. Sometimes they overlap a tiny bit but most times they have a too small distance between frames, as compared to my other cameras.
Is there a way to adjust winding or am I looking at replacing the winder mechanism due to wear?
I hope there is a simple stopper, set screw or something...?
My M3 is single stroke, and distance between frames is much smaller in comparison to M6, M1, Leica III or any nikon that I have. But no overlapping. When I cut my negatives from M3 - I need to be very careful.
Hmm, so maybe it is normal, and it is just me being sloppy combined with some leway for when the camera considers the film wound, that is the problem. (Whew that was a terrible sentence )
I have a M4-2 that winds normal distances, just like my nikons and even lomo Lca.
I decided to leave it as it is. Once when is broken, or M3 needs a CLA - then one can also mention that problem. In the meantime don't drink too much coffee when you cut the negatives from M3 .
