Leica M3
This early double stroke was completely overhauled and repaired to Leica tolerances in 2011 by Sherry K of Golden Touch, one of the very best, to the tune of $650.00 for the labor and parts (paperwork available). Included in the overhaul were new shutter curtains, some new viewfinder parts, new springs for the curtain rollers, and lubrication and adjustments of the entire camera body. The camera is in wonderful operating condition now. It is in exc+ cosmetic condition with no dings or dents and just normal wear and bright marks from average use. Nothing to mention as far as issues, it operates as you would expect after a recent top shelf CLA. Does not include the wrist strap but I will include a Leica body cap. I decided to put the itemized bill in one of the pictures for the purpose of showing potential M3 buyers what they can encounter when choosing a 60 year old camera that has not had a recent CLA. Imagine buying one on ebay for $650.00 or even $800.00 and then finding out it needs work. You decide to send it to the best, either Sherry or Don, and you get an estimate like the one shown. That's what can and probably will happen when you don't know the history of the camera. It's best to buy one with a proven recent overhaul than to take any chances. Just sayin'...
Price is $850.00 shipped in the USA
