WILL BE ADDING DETAILED PHOTOS THIS AFTERNOON
asking for $900usd/$1000aud
Leica M2
-CLA from Youxin before my purchase (recent)
-Viewfinder is clear and patch is contrasty and aligned
-All speeds are on and mechanics move smooth
-Very quiet, the most silent when tested against at least 20 other Leica M and ltm bodies (I know a collector)
-Vulcanite chipping in 3 areas. One is rather large on the back and I have covered it with gaffers tape (worked for me)
-Various scratches on the body and a small dent next to the frame counter
Canon 50mm 1.4 LTM
50-75 ltm to M adapter
Uv filter
Red filter
Front cap
Canon hood
-Very sharp
-Barrel moves smooth
-Aperture has soft click stops
-Rear element is perfect
-Front element has small cleaning marks
x1.25 magnifier
-Not leica made
-fits the viewfinder well
-makes the M2's finder close to that of the M3
-good for portraits
For those who are interested tell me your location and I will calculate the postage for the service you request.
My note: After some long photography charged day trips and the jump to large format I have decided that 35mm is not for me. The Leica is a beautiful camera and I love it to bits. The problem is that I cannot shoot a full roll of 35mm in a day, or even a week, or even on a day trip. I have to hunt for photos to finish the roll and this leads to results that are never worth revisiting. The things that capture my passion go on large and medium format, where as 35mm is just for happy snaps and documentation. I have tried street photography and while this camera is a silent weapon I just cannot find the drive to hunt for photos in the boring city I traverse. Will I regret selling this setup? Probably not. I have my eyes on a M4 with 28mm once I have the time and funds, for now University and photography with large format are the main drives of my life.
