I have a coworker who's boyfriend's Dad past away. The Dad used to own 4 newspapers in his days and had lots of camera equipment.
They have decided to sell most of it and I'm helping my coworker doing that.

I have listed the description, pictures. If you need anything else, please let me know and I'll do my best to let you know. All the equipment seems to work (I haven't used them but I have cleaned all the equipment and made sure all every buttons were working, also I was able to open all cameras to look if a film was there). The equipment was kept in a camera back and looks to be in a good condition.

I have already someone interested in the 35mm. By tomorrow I'll know if the person is going to buy it or not.
My price is already very discounted, if you look at those link to help with prices, the cheapest I should sell it is $4550 and I could do beyond $6000.

What kind of discount where you thinking of?

Sorry, my Mondays are crazy... The rest of the days are better for jokes!

So just the camera or the set?

They are comparably prices to other places. Unfortunately if you want a quick sale they are also pipe dreams that only come true when the market is utterly dry, and someone just has to have it. I estimate $3975 by selling individually higher end of what you might get on any given day. As a bundle the idea would be less, like save money on this... The Summicron 50mm is a rarity in that shape so it actually is worth closer to the prices in the links.

If you price competitively with Ebay etc you are going to have a difficult sell. You can say no I don't want to sell because I just know it is worth more, the world is against me... but then you don't sell so it doesn't help. I mean why would anyone buy from person X instead of person Y if they have the same prices, especially when someone else out there prices to sell? It is all about how long you want to sit on something. For some that is fine because they run a business, for others it needs to sell now. Frankly there are better deals out there even right now (some of them much better).

But hey, nothing beats having a heap of valuable gear fall into your lap though right?

Field and Ronn, if you want to make an offer on what is left, I'm open. I offered deals to other people before here on this forum. Though if would be better to do this in private that on the forum, just IM me and we can discuss. Someone already made me an offer on the M2 and 50mm, just wanted to wait a few days to figure out if someone else would buy the whole set or give a better price.

It's not by complaining about price that I'll give you something better, just make an offer and I'll consider it. The owner wants to sell at a reasonable price, so anything good would work.

I'm coming from the digital world, and by default the viewfinder as a normal piece of glass for you to look through. On the film cameras the viewfinder provides a focusing system to help you manual focusing right on the subject. They are different "layout" of focusing screen, but here is a link to help you understand what it is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Focusing_screen.

Sorry if you already know this, but I thought this is what you were asking.

Sure... I guess the question is whether it has masks for 35/50/90 or was updated to the 28/35/50/75/90 ?

It looks like a lot like the first link, except the rectangle in the middle is a bit bigger and the outline rectangle has corners too.

Basically the differences is whether it shows two sets of framelines or one. It sounds like one. The framelines change for which lens is on it. You'd use different framelines for 50mm than 90mm lens, essentially. This is so you know how to frame the picture. When you swap lenses on SLRS (like you are use to) you automatically see the difference without having to draw framelines, because you see through the lens.

I thinks it the 35/50/90 since when I play with the Finder Frame Selector I only have 3 different layouts.
