The Zeiss Planar 50mm f/2 is very close to the Leica 50mm f/2 Summicron at 1/3 the price. And I purchased this Zeiss from Japan at $450…!

I've had great experiences buying from Japan. You need to do your homework, check feedback. Those ZM lenses are really nice, Cosina Voigtlander too. Leica lenses are great but new prices are insane!

So far, all my Nikon film gear and the Zeiss lens was purchased from Japan with no problems…!

The Zeiss Planar 50mm f/2 is said to be slightly sharper than the Summicron 50mm f/2 which makes them an incredibly buy…!

I could never get this shadow and light this good from the metering system of the F2. Using Ektar film didn’t help much either…!
