So,

I think my M3 bottom is not original, see picture. It looks like M4/M6. On the other hand M1 looks original. But both bottoms can be switched between M1 and M3. On M6 it does not fit.
Is there a list which bottom is compatible with which camera?
I am asking because half case that I would like to get is depending on a camera back (considering the prices for half case - I want to buy only one).

I can't help you with your question, but I grinned when I saw your thread title.
It may be a language thing though.

What half case? My M3 was using M4-2 case which is convertible to the half-case until I decided to get original M3 case. Or was it M4 case...

What half case

Cheapest that I can find . The thing is that I have noticed that camera eyelets for a camera strap is getting thinner and thinner (metal rubbing against metal is doing it after years and years of use). Alternative is to find a camera strap without metal ends.

The M5 bottom only fits on the M5.

Good one !

China made are something like 12 dollars on ebay. Not real leather. I prefer old original Leica made cases. They are around 50$ or less where I'm. Black are made to be convertible to the half case. Older brown needs to be converted once.
