Like Huss, I’m puzzled by this  How did this come to pass? Too many cameras?

Yup...likely as not, too many cameras.
In general, I only really shoot film for different aspect ratios and fidelity I can get out of them. If it is just something normal 35mm, I will just shoot it on a digital camera.

I really got into film for Medium Format...120. I've got several cameras that I shoot everything from 6x6 to 6x17. The latter I shoot on a Shen Hao view camera, and just recently acquired a Noblex 175U for 6x17.

For 35mm film, I'm mostly only doing panos with it....in an old trusty metal HorizonT swing lens, and a PressPan I had made out of an old non-functional NikonFE...widening the film gate and using a Mamiya press lens to shoot Xpan type images.

I got hooked on Leica for the M10M....the monochrome really hit me hard. I used to have a fairly lucrative contracting gig that I later quit (too much stress), so I had money to burn a couple years back...and saw a good deal on a supposedly used Leica M-A. The only thing worn on this I could see was the outer box....inner box and camera looked like they had never been touched.

It was a good deal and I figured since no one else was making new film cameras, if nothing else, it would be a decent investment.

But anyway, I've been too busy shooting panos on film, as well as interesting Soviet era 35mms that I think are fun so far.

I think I'd gotten the M-A to shoot color film in and take it along with me with the M10M...so I could have a choice anywhere I went....but I just got to where I'd carry the PressPan or HOrizonT with color in it...and now, I may take the Russian ones (Zorki -C, Zorki-4, Fed-2) out as my color companions to the monochrom.

I've toyed with the idea of selling the M-A....but it is so nice looking....I dunno.

Anyway, that's my rambling way of saying basically "yes"...too many cameras.
