Here's a really nice condition IIIg for sale. Serial number indicates a production year of 1956.
As the pictures show, this one has very few marks at all. The bottom plate is spotless, there is a tiny bright mark on the top plate near the engraving, and a few little marks on the top of the wind knob. Also a little bit of wear on the strap lugs, and a small mark on the shutter button (cable release or Visoflex use?). In general, extremely nice. The rangefinder image is excellent.

Includes instruction booklet, film spool.

However... it is a bit stiff from years of non-use, and as usual in such cases, the top 2 speeds are not available. So a CLA would be required for full functionality. I bought this body about a year and a half ago and did actually send it off for a CLA. To one of the top Leica specialists in the country. I knew it would take a while but after waiting more than a year with no action taken I asked for its return. Now, my Leica body needs are different... oh, well.
Spend a little for a CLA with YYe, or other reasonable Leica service, and you'll have a super sweet IIIg.

$500 via Paypal and shipped to lower 48. Other locations, please inquire first.

If you put that on ebay I bet you would get at least twice that price. The IIIg is not only one of the most sort after Leicas, but probably from a design point of view the best ever Leica. Audi used this camera in their car ads many years ago. If I didn't already have one, I would certainly buy it.
