Leica IIIf vertical hang?

I know I've seen it... people putting a strap lug in the tripod attachment and letting the camera hang vertically on the side. But now that I'm actively looking for it, I can't seem to find any info anywhere. Story of my life... chasing unicorns...

Was this pure customization or is there a source out there somewhere?

DING!!! We have a winner... That's IT!!! I've seen a few of these hanging at people's sides. I actually chased one gent down to take a look at it. He said it came with the camera...
