Leica IIIa Repair in Canada?

I asked this in the 35mm forum, not realizing that this forum exists and is full of Leica people. So I'll ask here- any recommendations for repair of a IIIa in Canada? Shipping costs and possible taxes have gotten a bit ridiculous crossing into the US.

I was just that I read/misinterpreted all your posts as indicating that it was you who had to deal with your own cross-border frustrations.

I would have recommended Rene Genest at Service Camera Pro, but he retired a few months back (major loss to the Canadian camera service market I will add). I'm not sure if one of his colleagues can service a IIIa or not. Would be worth reaching out.

Otherwise, you may have luck asking the fine folks at Camtec in Montreal. They have a Leica boutique and probably have a good idea of the available servicing options in the country.
