I scored a MC meter and a Extension tube. The tube snaps on M3 body perfectly. How many stops do I have do I open up for proper exposure? Also.. doesn't the DR un-screw in the middle to go on tube? I thought I saw a picture somewhere on line where you can do that. I'm nervous about putting to much torque to un screw it.
I'm on a small phone so you need to wait for confirmation but that looks like a focusing mount.
The DR lens head may not separate even if the non DR did, I had both but about 1970...
The lenses that separated from their rangefinder double heliciod could be screwed into a different heliciod that fitted into a mirror box called a visoflex that bayoneted on to the M body.
Turning your M into a SLR for macro photography.
You need a book to describe the myriad of options...

this is way way too long to be used on a dual-range, which is a 50mm lens designed to focus a bit closer, but not the really close macro range.
As others have said, this looks more like the focusing mount for a 90mm lens -- the lens head screws onto the front. I can unscrew the front of my 90mm f4 lens too.

Agreed, Elmarit 90 barrel. The DR glass does unscrew for use in an enlarger mount DMUOO 17672 along with an aperture control hood VTROO. Also can be used with bellows one would suppose.
