Leica Elmarit 28mm Version 4...does it vignette with normal B&W UV's?

Quick question about vignetting folks...

I have a Leica Elmarit 28mm Ver. IV, and am shopping for a UV filter for it...I am currently in an area
which is quite remote, so no access to camera stores other than internet purchases. Do standard B&W
46mm UV filters vignette on this lens or do I need a slim filter?

Please only reply if you use this Version 4 Elmarit and have direct experience. Thanks in advance.

Since you are concerned, if you cannot try out the filters at a camera store by looking though the camera back, then I would recommend that you buy the thinner filters for the wide angle lenses. This is a general recommendation, not from direct experience with that lens.

Samys on Fairfax will be able to help you, or you could call them and ask the Leica experts there.

I haven't had a V4 for a while now, but always shot it with a B+W 021 filter! Never had a problem.
