Some people -- celebrities, doctors, lawyers, etc. -- carry a Leica because they think there's something super special about the brand. Some people drive $100,000 cars and carry purses that cost $15,000. The Leica Luggers do not realize that most of them look stoopid carrying a camera that they obviously haven't a clue how to hold or use.
Most defiantly a user, and I'm not a " professional", I fix fork lift trucks for a living.
Why do people allways seem to be out to bash Leica and Leica users?
Yes I know they are very expensive, I certainly couldn't afford ANYTHING new but if you look around
There are some second had bargains to be had, I should know having just sold my m6ttl body for half it's going to take to replace when thing look up.
And I just purchased a beautifully cared for M6 TTL to go along with my IIIc. It is a wonderful camera that I am learning to use. You got to love it.
Although Leica's have a reputation as very expensive cameras, you can certainly find bargains on well cared for examples if you pay attention.
I would be willing to bet that there are a whole lot more people like us that use and enjoy Leica cameras who do not have the high level of discretionary income that celebrities and others may have.
