I'm selling my Leica 35mm Summaron f2.8 lens that has the goggles attached for use with the Leica M3 camera. The goggles work to widen the field of view of the 50mm frame lines to give the right view for a 35mm lens view. This can also be used on every other Leica camera, even those with 35mm frame lines, it will still only use the 50mm frames and widen them. I've used it on most film M cameras and a few digital M cameras with success. The lens is a masterpiece IMO. Many actually prefer the rendering of this lens to the 35mm Summicron 8-element lens which costs much more. This copy was CLA'd by Don at DAG 3 years ago and has seen very light and careful use since then. While it has some marks on the outside body area (see pictures) the glass is clean and clear with no issues. The focus is beautifully smooth and the aperture is perfect. Goggles also look great. Comes with caps as shown. $990.00 shipped in USA, I prefer F&F payment.
I just came across this listing yesterday whilst searching the web. Is this lens still for sale? I've been looking for a goggle 35 mm for my M3 for awhile.
Hello Craig, in case you are interested and this one is sold I have such lens as Bob did. Very clean and buttery smooth sample, the pics are available on the GetDPI forum. I will pm you the link, price in USD and my location. P.S. Used it last month on the M2, I second what Bob said about the character.
