I came across this after having found an ebay aution listing 50 or so of these.
It seems like a good idea and I was in the market for a small screw-in safelight for a darkroom/bathroom.

from the manufacturer though, it looks to be $150 for ONE. That's waaay too much. Just wondering if anyone has seen these, etc..

$150??! Wow. I bought mine from them when they were selling it as a colored light for displays for $50.

At that time they didn't have one specifically for darkrooms yet. Interesting...

Best,

Will

There was a seller on eBay that was selling these as surplus, and I think I got mine for around $25. It's a great safelight, very bright, and you can adjust the level. Mine swivels. I have a red one and keep it turned to the max output and pointed up toward the ceiling so it illuminates the whole room, and it seems okay with VC and graded paper.
