Thermometers not working - don't know if chemicals at 68 f, so I stopped everything, took the can home in disgust. 'Will be siting in my un-airconditioned apartment for another few days while it's 100 f here in Chicago.
So, do I need to take it into a pitch-dark area to "let in some air" so no gasses form - would taking the little cap off the big cap be enough? 'Just two rolls in the can.

I suppose the tank was clean and dry, then leaving it in the tank for a few days / weeks won´t do any harm. If it is so hot in your area, you might consider storing it in the fridge.

I'd recommend leaving it in a cupboard or at least away from bright light, just in case the tank has a small light leak. Over weeks to months this could reveal itself.

Agreed, should be fine for a few weeks. But not sure about storing it in the fridge...a metal tank might attrack condensation ?

Dear DF,

Just leave it. There will be no problems. I did the same thing last week with color film.

I frequently load a bunch of tanks at one time but also run out of time to develope all of them, so some can sit quite a while before I can get to them. Never a problem. This includes movie stock, which is a little more time sensitive.
