Hello,

Idiot me decided to test to see how good my light seals were by putting an old flash directly up to the side of my camera. Well, the flash left the leather looking shinier where it was flashed (wth?). Is there any way to bring the shine of the leather back down to be on level with the rest of the leather, or will it just fade back to normal over time?

Is it real leather or synthetic? If it is real leather, you might be able to restore it with some shoe polish.

Up close, flash generates intense heat. One time, I put a big Metz flash right up to my jeans and went "boof!" Quite a bit of smoke came out my jeans!

I think it's synthetic.

So, will wear and use dull it back down? The texture is identical to the way it was before...
