I don't know if this has been linked here before, but in case it has not, here's something for those who want to visit Japan and be able to say a few things in Japanese regarding photography:

This link was from a photo-supply importer/distributor Kindai where I was checking out some info on status of Forte products. I thought it was kind of goofy, nerdy, and funny in a way that people can find something like this almost everywhere today. Anyway, it's only for photo terms, so why not?

Ohayo Gozaimasu. Watashi no namae wa Arisutotelisu desu. Watashi wa jirisha-jin desu. Watashi wa sukebe desu.
 

Wakarimasen.

I had a half-Japanese girlfriend once. Her mother loaned me 'Japanese in Three Weeks.' I gave it back after a couple of months.

As I say, wakarimasen. (Hope I remember it right -- 'I don't understand'.)

Quick correction here: not "jirisha-jin" but "girisha-jin" with "g".

And I'm sure you're "sukebe." I am, too. In fact all men are...

皆様、本当に頑張ってくださいね。もし毎日勉強をすれば確かに直ぐ話せる様になると思います。In romaji, minnasama, hontouni ganbattekudasaina. moshi mainichi benkyou wo sureba tashikani sugu dekiru you ni naru to omoimasu.

I wish I could study it daily. I have not used it at all for over 10 years. When I saw Dr Tani from Fuji this spring, I could barely make myself understood.

But it would be nice if we all could understand one another.

There is a computer lab down the hall...I could hang out there and find one. My employers discourage me from having too much fun with the students here, however.
