I looked through archives and believe the below statements are true. Would someone with experience verify if I am right on my assessments?

Situation:
I have a Mamiya M645 Super with AE prism N, Power winder N, 120 backs that looks slightly different from each other (I know one is Super kind but don't know about the other - but they both work fine with my Super), and various lenses.

Please tell me if these statements are true:
1) AE prism N will work with PRO and PRO-TL with no loss of functionality
2) Power Winder N will NOT work with PRO and PRO-TL
3) Both 120 backs will work PRO and PRO-TL
4) Lenses will work with ALL M645s

Thank you.

Your numbers 1, 3 and 4 are correct.

As to number 2, the Power Winder N works fine on the PRO, and most likely on the PRO-TL.

The very few incompatibilities within the system tend to occur when some of the newer accessories (designed to be used on the PRO or PRO-TL) don't work on the Super, but generally the Super accessories work on the PRO and PRO-TL. The best example is that at least one of the AE finders for the PRO doesn't work on the Super.

The only Super accessories that I know of that don't work on the PRO involve the electronic trigger for the shutter - the connectors for the left hand grip differ, and the converter that allows use of a manual cable release differs as well, mainly because the shape of the bodies is different in that location.

Thanks again for your input on Mamiya. I have been looking on picking up a AE-finder . Ebay sales sometimes do not supply the sufficient information on the finders that are being sold. That is one of the reasons why I am going to purchase on from KEH or Adorama so I know I will be getting one that works and fits on my 645 Super.

It'll be very nice if someone could write up a FAQ or compatibility chart for this very popular model. I went through manuals, etc, but they don't talk about cross model compatibilities, such as AE finder N can be used with Pro.

Thank you Matt King for sharing his knowledge. I appreciate it very much.

You are very welcome.

Most of the information I have came to me because I went through the same sort of process you are going through now.

One resource that was excellent, and then disappeared without any warning, was the Mamiya Users group that was maintained, but subsequently taken down, by Mamiya America Corporation ("MAC"). As I understand it, you cannot even access that group using the "wayback machine". I'd love to be proven wrong about that though.
