Hi,
This is my first post to this forum, which I just joined today. I am very glad to find a place where I belong!
I have been scanning negatives using Epson's software for a while and recently came to know about Lasersoft's different software packages supporting Epson scanners. I find the Epson software lacking and have read some very good reviews of Lasersoft AI. I would be interested in knowing some members opinions of the Lasersoft product line and which software might be best for me.
I have been shooting Kodak HIE-135 infrared film, but that has been discontinued. Scanning gives a much greater latitude for this film. I have negatives that would be difficult to print in the darkroom that are able to yield a decent print scanned and printed digitally with little tweaking. I try my best to shoot to print with as little post work as possible, so am not certain I need all of the whistles and bells of the top of Lasersoft's line, AI Pro (I think).
Any advice from forum members is very much appreciated.
Sincerely,
James C. Williams
