Thanks! I have the "Larry Fink on Composition and Improvisation" book from Aperture's Photography Workshop Series, and this is a nice complement to it.
He was my photography teacher my first year of college. He was only there that one year because he and the head of the art department didn't get along well. I learned from him, but was a bio major, so wasn't putting in as much effort as I would if I were taking it now.
He began at a time when structures/organizations of photography were changing. Many people working toward some form of support for and from their photography.
He did teach. Like anyone able to sustain a career he has a long resume.
