When I was looking for a dark cloth for my 8x10 I couldn't find one I really liked. I managed to persuade my wife to sew one for me. I bought a light weight denim for one side, and a nice light weight white for the other. I had her make it about 5' 4" or so, square. It has velcro running about 12 or 18" on two opposing sides. On my Kodak Master Camera, kind of like a Deardorff, this allowed me to make a hood for the camera that stayed on in the wind. White side is reflective for hot sunny days. That side also made a good reflector for portraits. Anyway, this focusing cloth was created with love and great seamstress skills. I have about $50 in materials in this, irrespective of the time she put into it.
