Hi All,
This may be a rather obscure question to ask but I would like to know the type of photographic film that contains the largest silver halide crystals at the lowest packing density. I realise that film speed is a factor in determining the size of the silver halide crystals and that these range from 0.1 to 2.0 micrometers but am not sure how different film types vary in their packing density. For example, are there B&W films that contain a single layer of relatively large crystallites or do most films tend to suspend several layers in the emulsion? Thanks in advance for any help.
