Great video! Have seen wonderful Nikon DSLR stuff from South Pole, monster mural prints. Hung next to same-size video murals. Was nice to see faintest movement of ice clouds in the videos. .

Give me snow, blue sky and sunshine any day!

That was one of the main reasons I left Portland, Or. It was just too depressing. The summer was nice but didn't last very long. I finally realized there were three distinct types of weather there. It was either raining, had just stopped raining or was fixing to rain. That pretty much covered 8-9 months of the year. People got grumpy too, we need sunshine to be healthy and happy.

It is exactly the same up here!! Oh, how I miss the sunny Canadian Prairie... not the cold, though 😄

Stellar location Andy, great shot too.

I too miss the great plains. Nice video Andy! Which 3-way head are you using? I keep waffling between sourcing something like a vintage Majestic, or a simple 3-way for my Burke and James.

Great video Andy.
How far up the river were you?

It's a Gitzo Series 5 G1570M. They only thing that bugs me about it is when tilting the camera up, it's limited by the long panning grip. To work around this, I mount the camera backwards, then swing the head around. Bit of a pain, but it works!

Thanks Matt. I was set up at Pitt River Dike Scenic Point, on Rannie Rd. Thinking of going there sometime? If you do, please let me know!

So out past Swan-E-Set - that would be great.
