This thread has been a telling experience. NOT ONE of you has offered to buy them. THAT says plenty.
The market is dead, although buying new ones from B&H will cost a fortune. (Did anyone recently look at their new enlarger prices? You will have a heart attack.)
Maybe, just maybe they are not being lower than the market demands for 'used'. Your comments are informative and frustrating at the same time. Thank you all. - David Lyga
I'll make you feel a bit better David - I could use a 135mm f/5.6 Componon S lens in good condition.
If you are interested too, send me a pm, and we can discuss the practicalities of getting it to my Washington State shipping address (and getting some money to you.)
As others have stated, as a wholesale price (which is what it is) the offer doesn't seem unreasonable. Comparing it to what they sell new lenses for is not a valid comparison. And, that price is more than what Rodenstock or Schneider gets too.
If it helps, it looks like the Rodenstock is on an LPL lens board, on its own, it's worth around $20 in a private party sale.
Likely your best deal would be to put them in the classifieds here.
