Umm, even the stock photo looks the same, but nowhere did I see a country of origin on either product. The thing is, you need a spare lamp, and better yet, several spares from the same lot of bulbs if you are printing color, the last thing you want is to blow out your one and only lamp on a Friday night with no recourse for a new lamp for three or four days! I would try the Impact brand lamps and do yourself a favor and buy two.

Well, you know that Beseler is not manufacturing their own bulb. There might be a difference, but at $6 vs. $93.50, you'd be foolish not to try the $6 bulb.

This is the "EVW" standard projector bulb. It is not exotic, not rare, and not proprietary to Beseler. Look elsewhere on the internet for the EVW.

Just an example for a name brand:

You might even find one at a Staples or Office Depot type store.

I never heard of the Impact brand. When I needed bulbs for my LPL ( same bulb) research led me to purchase a Philips. I think it was about $6.00 from one of the on-line bulb specialists. I think I ordered 4, or 5, to hit the free shipping threshold.
