Can anyone give me the name of a mail order company where I can get lab ware in the form of flasks, beakers, columns etc.?

I get mine from American Science and Surplus, (www.sciplus.com). They have reasonable prices, ship promptly and are pleasant to deal with.
It is also, incidentally, where I order my rubber chickens.

Another vote for American Science & Surplus, with the caveat that they won't always have the exact size/specification you're looking for, at the exact moment you're looking for it. You may also have to get a different quantity (read: usually more) than you may want to buy, but at their prices, it's usually not a big deal at all.

Yep for American Science and Supply. And in addition to rubber chickens, rats, and dinosaurs, don't over look the flame firing nuns.

So, you guys look to the ASS company for supplies? Good choice, but the initial screen seemed to be a lot of crap, if you will excuse the comment in this context.

You can order directly from Corning although it can be pricey.

Cole-Parmer sells to individuals and carries just about everything, again not exactly low cost but you can get exactly what you're looking for.

I found some stuff on ebay but it's hit and miss, imho.

Boston Rounds

Search Google for Boston Rounds. Labware suppliers include
chemical storage gear in their inventories. Boston Rounds either
clear or amber are a standard. Mine are fitted with Polyseal or
Polycone caps. Probably the surest sealing caps available.

Well, when all is said and done, if you want labware for a photo lab try the Photographers Formulary. I get most all of my glassware there. I get my stainless elsewhere, but that one source satisfies about 80% of my needs.

You might check out US Plastics also. I use their plastic beakers, 2000 ml and 4000 ml which work well. Not a traditional labware company but they might have some bits and pieces that you would find useful.
