A great example of Art Deco. We need to protect this stuff at all costs from the City Hall vandals who think a replacement shopping mall represents progress.

... I've not been there since my childhood days. My maternal grandparents lived in Santa Monica and during our stay over visits they took us to all the sites in the LA basin back then. Union Station, Santa Monica Pier, Angels Flight, POP, Marine Land, Brown Derby, Clifton's, Will Rogers SP ...

The Redlands Santa Fe depot is accessible because it is unused except for an occasional wedding or event. One day, the commuter train from San Bernardino might be extended as far as Redlands, but that project is moving slowly (literally). Art Deco is utterley timeless.
When my mother was a teenager she used to watch the movie stars disembark from the then new station. It’s still quit a piece of architecture and well taken care of.
YES...!!!!If you like Art Deco, Vancouver's Marine building is a treasure (and it is close by to a train station).
