I heard about this exhibition from a guy in the ACP darkroom. Colour landscape photographs made with 6x6 and 4x5 cameras. C type analogue prints, pretty sure they would have been done by Sandra Barnard. The concept behind the photographs is interesting - he reads 19th century newspapers for accounts of European settlers who came to a tragic end in the Australian bush. Then travels to the location and makes a photo in the approximate place at the same time of day. As he writes "The photographs are a comment on the often-tragic attempts to control a wild and misunderstood landscape."
