Hello,

I have been given a Kreonite Pro Mate 26 in. model. I need to determine if it works, and what sort of repair and maintenance it needs, so I can decide whether or not I should keep it. Does anyone know a good source for service of these machines in Los Angeles, CA?

It certainly looks serviceable. The questions are whether or not it can maintain proper speed, replenishment, and temperature. I know for sure that I need a water mixing valve. If anyone knows of one up for grabs or for sale, please let me know.

Thank you in advance.

Look for wear at the ends of the rollers. A lighter color there indicates the wear. This can affect the speed of the transport. Gear wear condition can also affect speed. The company I worked for used a larger version and we had to replace the rollers every few years to keep consistency. I don't know of any repair facilities but in LA there should be some.

Leave messages with your telephone number since they rarely answer. They repair and service color processing machines and print driers, as well as align enlargers.

Bad timing - I just puished my promate 19" machine off the back of my pickup truck into the transfer station bin this mrning. I just could never justify the chems it neded for the low volume I process, and have a lover volume 12" machine that works great.

I could have sent you parts to replace any duds that were interchangeable between sizes . I still have the operators and service manuals, including all exploded view assembly drawings and the replensihment pumps.

Dunning Photo - http://www.kreonite.com/ - are the Kreonite folks. They may be able to give you some tips on the phone. They also are the folks for Hope processor parts.
