I'd like to access the lens locking ring on a Kowa six. I removed the four screws in front (green is shorter) plus the side screw on the locking ring itself (blue) but nothing is moving. Maybe @Alex Varas could help?

Here it’s a Kowa Super 66, system of the front ring is still the same. It might be parts are sticky/glued, use a hairdryer in this case.

One thing to be aware, under the front ring you will find plastic/copper bars and small bearings… careful with these last ones, they like to run around!!

Thank you! All it needed was a little prying. There were some light seals at 6 o'clock (under the drive gear) causing sticking. No balls or bars on the Six.

On my body the locking collar is able to turn on top of the pin linked to the lens release lever. Thought something was worn on the collar but it's fine. I'll check if I can raise the pin a bit.
