You know, that's a good point. I hadn't really thought of it that way yet.
I suppose my hesitation comes from the fact that lenses, accessories, and service for this particular system are kind of hard to come by. But I have been really happy with the shots that I've gotten so far and the camera's got personality!
I would get a CLA on the camera only for now, and see how it goes from there. It sounds like the camera is basically good and more important, you like it. Easy advice when you're not a starving student! But I think you got a really good deal. I paid half of that for the Luna Pro F alone (which I think is a really useful light meter, even if a bit on the large side)!
It probably made it 40 years since new without a CLA so having everything CLAed now might be good for another 40. The Kowa is a nice system. I often grab mine instead of the Hassie. Besides, being able to say Ross has gone through it adds points if you do decide to move it.
I do definitely like the camera and I suppose even with a CLA, is still a good deal. I'll just have to do a little saving and try to explain to my folks why helping me fix a 40 year old camera would be a good christmas present!
I've seen pictures of the mysterious 19mm lens, obviously never actually handled one though. They seem quite elusive, I've been scouring the internet for Kowa six stuff lately and haven't seen any indication of anyone selling one or anything...
