KOPIL Shoe Mounted Cds Exposure Meter

I found a Kopil Exposure Meter in a box of stuff that I had purchased a while ago. Does anyone have a manual or have any information on it? I'm wondering what the CH, H, and L mean.

I already checked the site and there isn't a manual for it unless it's listed under something other than Kopil. They have a self timer is it.

It would be nice if you posted some photos of it. It might happen that it isn't widely known by that name, but it might be a re-badge of something better known.
Saying that, whenever I see H and L on a light meter, the words High and Low come to mind. CH is a check position, or so I believe.
Are they colour coded perhaps?
But, without seeing it, I can't offer any more help.

It is about right what I said.
Does it have a screw underneath it with a zero? That would be to reset the needle to zero position in the dark or close to it. Just block the cell and see if the needle stays at zero. It is similar to the zero reset on a Weston Master light meter.
It uses a PPX625 battery. Your best alternative and cheaper is to use ZA675 hearing aid batteries with a O ring as a spacer.
BTW, it seems to be functionally similar to the Asahi Pentax meter for the S series screw mount cameras.

H(igh) setting is for the strong-light sensitivity range
L(ow) setting is for the low-light sensitivity range

(or I might be mixing them up, but that should be easily identified).

Don't forget to turn the meter off after using it.

The Kopil uses the same battery as my Konica S2 and I have an extra one somewhere. Thanks for the link and your help. I'm looking forward to trying it.

Did you ever get the Kopil meter working. I have one that came in a job lot of photo stuff, I just need to find the right size battery it works though.
