Issues
  • The shutter fires during the film advance and shutter cocking
  • It happens to some lenses, which has stronger resistance on the aperture control tab
  • When no lens is mounted, this issue does not exist.
Diagnosis
  • Weak spring, dry lubricant on the aperture control/actuation ring on the lens mount
Solution
  • Clean the black aperture control/actuation ring
  • Add tiny drop of oil to the two shining silver prongs, and let the oil work through the back side of black ring

  • Problem solved!
  • You can feel the film advance and shutter cocking to be lighter resistance and smoother
