Does anybody know of a replenisher for Konica SD-28?

(SD-28 is a variation on D-76 with additional buffering capacity and a little added Bromide.)

Is there a published replenisher formula?

Would the published D-76 replenisher be an acceptable substitute?

Any suggestions experiences?

Suzuki states (on his website) that SD-28 is virtually identical to Kodak D-76d

For replenishment, Suzuki recommends the replenishment method described in Kodak publication O-3 (Kodak website).

However, I would just use the developer as a one-shot. It is inexpensive and is very easy to mix.

but, what about all that buffering? doesn't it just beg to be replenished?

Went back and re-read Ryuji'sarticle. I see that his 'new' D-76R is probably suitable. Will give it a try.

Am also interested in comparing/ contrasting this (SD-28) to ID-68...

other that the longevity avantage (that I assume ID-68 has), what is noteworthy?

ID-68 was Ilford's Phenidone (instead of Metol) version of D-76. ID-68 is very similar to Ilford Microphen. Attributes are fine grain and full emulsion speed.

Well buffered developers like SD-28 were intended for photofinishers that typically put hundreds of rolls of film through a developer before discarding it. For anyone else it is better to use developers as one shots. Your negatives will be consistent from roll to roll and easier to print because of this.
