depending on the storage and weather conditions and etc the cameras can go really bad

Quick question. can cameras go bad in a NOS state?

It can but often a simple CLA (= clean, lubricate & adjust) can fix it. Like new light seals or removing old & hardened lubrication.
But some old cameras with electronical components might get some expensive problems. Like leaking LCD screens or fried electronics.
However, really old all mechanical cameras might perform as new. So check and test before buying.
And check on the internet for well know problems for each brand and model.
