Hi Everyone, I'm hoping you fine folks here may be able to shed some light on a problem I'm having with my Konica.
So I picked up a Konica C35 FD (the Japanese version of the Auto S3) from ebay and it is in lovely condition, no dust, no fungus, heck it looks nicer then my Fuji and that's 1/10th its age. Unfortunately the light meter is consistently reading 2-3 stops lower then my hand held or phone meter (hand held says f4, Konica will say F1.8, etc.). I've tried SR44 and 675 (hearing air) batteries and the different voltages didn't seem to make a difference.
I downloaded a service manual and it pointed to the "EE adjusting eccentric screw" which was supposed to correct for over/under exposure. I peeled back the leatherette and fiddled with the screw but it unfortunately that did not solve the problem. Perhaps I did it wrong.
So now I'm wondering what to do with this camera. Is there something else I can try with the EE screw? Should I rip out and replace the resistors? Should I try and get my money back?
Thanks in advance!
