So...another one from the potentially doomed vault.
This one is a KONICA C35 AF, apparently beloved of one Andrew Warhola Esq because it was the first PnS with a built-in flash, ideal for your nightclub shenanigans I'm told.
I bought this one for €20 for spares - I only want the rewind lever for the C35 EF pictured below it (which works) and I can probably resell it for the same money. But when it came, its in good cosmetic condition inside and out - trouble is the previous owner has messed up the autofocus but I don't know how.
For those that don't know, there's a weird kind of clockwork arrangement linked to some sort of triangulation sensors (Honeywell Visitronic if you insist) that determine focussing distance. When you cock the shutter it winds and arms the clockwork mechanism and when you press the shutter the mechanism moves the lens back and forth until it's in focus, then fires the shutter.
Except this one doesn't. There's a halfhearted buzzing from the mechanism but the lens doesn't move, although the shutter fires. So my question is, before I consign it to the "move it on" box, has anyone ever dismantled this mechanism and got it working? I've had the front of the lens off (the ASA ring was tight and needed adjustment) but can't see any obvious problem.
