Just purchased a Konica Auto S off of Epay and waiting to received it .
Been a Canon & Nikon SLR guy since I left the Amry back in 73.
Haven't used a rangefinder since 1971 when I went into the Amry. Use to be able to get these cheep at the PX.
Hope this is a good one, otherwise it's off for a CLA .
Know anybody good with the Konica's ?
thanks
I have seen the inside of a Konica 35 a couple of times, nothing special or dificult for an experienced repairman......
As long as the optics are clean and the outside looks more or less nice.
You might have to replace the seals, the lightmeter can give a bit of trouble, I don't know what type is installed.
The Konica Auto S2 is capable of cutting a very sharp image. I think the Auto S was the same camera, but with selenium metering. I may be wrong in making that distinction. But I can attest to the quality of the lens in the S2.
Me too on the S2. Nice fast lens. Needs a 1.3V mercury (or Wein cell equivalent) for 'auto' mode, but it's a completely manual camera, with aperture and shutter rings on the lens. Nice little knobby thing to focus quickly.
