My wife has a Konica Auto S that she got from her father. The shutter seems by sight/sound to go at the same speed regardless of the setting. We tried a roll of film a few years back and seemed to get underexposed negatives, although it's been awhile and our tests weren't all that careful. I don't believe the shutter is related to the battery, which I don't intend to replace otherwise because I prefer hand held meters.

So my questions are these:

1. If the shutter sounds the same whether it's tripped at 1 sec. or 1/500th, is it safe to assume there's a problem, or is it worth it to run another roll of film?

2. Since there's a leaf shutter, might I still be able to use it synced to a flash if I determine the correct f-stop via flash meter, regardless of shutter speed?

3. What might it cost to get someone to look at the shutter?

I don't shoot much 35mm (and have other 35mm cameras as well), but it seems just right to get family cameras back into production.

Thanks for any info. --Clifton
