I bought a bundle of enlarging booty, part of which is a Komuranon-S 150mm 1:5.6 lens. I don't know much about it, I have not tried it yet (which would be the most logical thing to do but I have not started 4x5) and not much is coming up on Google.

Is it worth keeping?

I remember a guy writing about these lenses here at apug - doesn't mention your FL specifically. I came across the 50mm cheap on eBay and bought it but haven't done any prints with it yet. Here's the link to the thread

I have a Komura 400 f/6.3 lens for my 4x5 cameras, it is quite a nice lens. To be honest I cannot remember how long I've had it, nor how much I paid for it, as I cannot remember how and when or where I bought it.

Here is a link to the Komura name and in the text the word Komuranon name comes up and when they registered it and when, it seems, that name was first used on a lens, which seems to be 1973.

I wouldn't say they made brilliant lenses, as I don't really know, but the sample I have, is pretty damned good.

I have two, a 50 and a 75, and they are both good. I use the 75 regularly. They are mentioned in my copy of the Ilford darkroom manual as being among the superior quality lenses. I believe they are a 6 element design. I would keep it, and try it out when you can.

Post number 5 seems to like them, maybe ask him?
