Anyone have any suggestions for a film/dev combination that will yield ultra-high contrast suitable for b/w line art reproduction? All Kodalith style films in 35mm appear to be extinct, but perhaps there's an obscure one lurking out there somewhere (he said hopefully)....

I'm wondering whether Maco/Rollei Ort25 might be an option. It claims high contrast with Rollei RHC/LP Docufine HC developer, but so far I haven't found a US retailer for the dev.

consider cinema cast offs?

I have an old roll of 100' of 35mm 'fine grain positive release film' or somethign like that that I use - it is about asa 2or so though, so it is definitely still life only. Actually I usually develop it to a low contrast, and use it for unsharp masking; I guuess I could go another generation and contact print it each time.

If you want a high contrast you can use our ADOX ORTHO 25 film in combination with any hard working (lith) developer.

There is no need to use any specific developer. Also you can develop by inspection (dark red light).

If you use a normal working developer the negatives will be higher in contrast but not just black and white.

The film is available in 35mm, 120 and sheets.

Freestyle carries our film and suitable developers.

Best regards,

Mirko
